Whether you want a reason to get in shape, be active with friends, or to take on a new challenge, signing up for a 5K is the perfect opportunity for both experienced runners and novices. That’s why Up and Running in Dayton located in Ohio is proud to be a sponsor of the Americana 5K Run/Walk.
Taking place July 4th at 7:30 a.m. at the Centerville High School Stadium on East Franklin Street, the race will help kick off the 44th Annual Centerville-Washington Township Festival. The 5K will be chip timed, and results will be available immediately after the race at speedy-feet.com.
Registration is only $20 through June 30th and $30 after. You can register online at Speedy-feet.com, or download the form and mail it or drop it off at Up and Running in Dayton before the event. The registration fee includes a quality moisture-wicking T-shirt from to the first 1,000 registrants. There will also be refreshments provided after the race.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the male and female categories. Additionally, there will be awards given to the top three finishers for each age, gender, and wheelchair category. The award ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Centerville High School Stadium, but awards can also be picked up at Up and Running in Dayton on July 5th.
