The Importance of Networking for Healthcare Professionals, Manhattan, New York

Patients are deciding the future of high-quality healthcare; as the number of private practices diminishes,  the desire and the need for individualized care grows.  More and more options are available to support optimum health; this includes the areas of dentistry, medicine, and mental- as well as alternative practices.

As practices become more specialized, patients want to be referred to peers by their trusted practitioner. Independent clinicians need to know each other well, refer each other, ask open-ended questions, and attend educational programs and webinars. That’s why networking for healthcare professionals is increasingly important.

collaborative groupCorporate care looks first at the bottom line, while boutique practices at look the bottom line after examining the success of the treatment and the long-term health of the practice and the patients. For these practices, it is essential to network while being clear about who you are, who you help, how you accomplish healing, and how you work with individuals. Local collaborative groups exist for that purpose.

Metro Collaborative™ values high-touch, authentic communication, detailed understandings, noninvasive solutions, and sustainable relationships. The collaborative group knows that the highest cost of care is care that does not work in the long term; it is also care that creates dependency and does not empower or educate patients for the future.

The collaborative group is committed to interdisciplinary cooperation among independent practices with divergent points of view, and it promotes building an understanding of the big picture to make strategic decisions. Its members speak at events, give workshops, and open their offices for tours to other clinicians.

To learn more about networking for healthcare professionals, join one of Metro Collaborative’s clinician groups. Call (609) 876-9163 or visit the peer advisory group online or look for retreat programs.
