For this month’s physician spotlight, Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates is proud to introduce Dr. Mamata V. Narendran MD, FACOG, MRCOG. Dr. Narendran went to medical school in Mumbai, India, where she also completed her OBGYN residency in 1993. She completed additional training and received board certification in the United Kingdom.

In 1996, she and her family moved to Cincinnati where she became board certified in the United States after completing an OBGYN residency at Good Samaritan Hospital. During her residency, she was twice awarded the Outstanding Resident award by the Council for Resident Education in OBGYN. Today, she’s an invaluable part of the OBGYN Associates team!

In addition to her many licenses and certifications, Dr. Narendran is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In the past, she was also a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the United Kingdom and the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India.

Dr. Narendran is especially skilled in treating high-risk obstetric patients, cares deeply about promoting women’s health, and enjoys working with teenagers and young adults. Her expertise as a surgeon has allowed her to contribute to and publish research in leading academic journals on a wide variety women’s health topics.

Dr. Narendran and her husband, Dr. Vivek Narendran have a 20-year-old son, Nukul. They enjoy traveling together and are huge sports fans. In her free time, Dr. Narendran enjoys reading, has a passion for cooking and experiments with diverse cuisines.
