Our Spectrum™ series storm doors bring smooth functionality, beauty, and durability.  The most amazing feature of these storm doors is our InVent™ retractable screens, which allows you more venting options than ever before!

The allow ventilation, most storm doors give you only two options.  The first option is the removable glass sash, which gives you the ability to replace it with a separate screened sash.  The problem with this option is that you lose the ease of functionality.  You have to store your screened sash in the winter, and then change out the sashes in the summer.  Also, if it’s raining and you have your screened sash in the door, you can’t leave your entry door open.

The second option is having the self-storing screen.  This gives you the functionality of having a moveable glass sash, but you sacrifice beauty because you will always be looking through a screen, even if you have all the glass closed.

Our Spectrum™ storm door line gives you the best of both worlds.  The InVent screen is fully retractable.  So when you have the glass sashes shut, the screens have retracted out of the line of site into the door slab.  When you lower (or raise) one of the glass sashes, it pulls the screen down (or up) out of the door.  This gives you the best of both worlds:  beauty and functionality in one amazing storm door!

Many of our Spectrum™ storm doors are available in both single and double hung versions.  The example above features a double hung system, where the screens are retractable from both the bottom and the top of the door.  Single hung versions give a screen retractable from the top only, with a stationary bottom glass sash.
