Parking lot restriping isn’t something we think about everyday, but it has to happen periodically. To keep your facility up to code and all of your drivers safe, call Pacific Striping when those parking lot divisions start to fade.

Based in Honolulu, the parking lot striping team has you covered no matter where you are on Oahu—they just ask that you do a few things in preparation:

  • Trim Grass & Clear Debris: If your parking lot is landscaped, make sure there is no overhanging foliage near the areas to be painted. This is also a good opportunity to sweep up all dirt, rocks, trash, debris, and other objects that may obstruct the new striping.

  • Turn Off Sprinklers: To make sure your parking lot restriping job dries properly, turn off your sprinklers during the scheduled striping time. You should also let your striping contractors know where the nearest spigot is, as they may need to do some pressure-washing.

  • parking lot restripingGive Prior Notice: Notify your parking lot users of the date and time that the parking lot restriping will occur so that they can modify their plans. Some common ways are to post flyers, make an announcement to the email list, or leave phone messages. It may also help to suggest an alternative place to park during that time, such as on the street or another parking lot (if you’ve worked out an arrangement with the owner).

  • Keep The Parking Lot Clear: On the day you’re scheduled for parking lot restriping, keep the area clear of vehicles. It will only take about 20 minutes for the striping to dry, but it will help to put up yellow tape to prevent people from trying to use the drying spaces.
