New York City’s Touro College Graduate School of Technology is thrilled to welcome its diverse student body to another exciting semester! As always, when a new semester arrives at the graduate school, so does a roster of brand-new course offerings.
Among the enticing academic opportunities made newly available at Touro GST is Interactive Design I, a stylish part of the Web and Multimedia Design department. The course, taught by Professor Andy Deck, will cover techniques and concepts relevant to interactive media, a constantly-evolving field that includes the production of eBooks, web design, smartphone apps, interactive kiosks, and apps. The focus is on balancing functionality with responsiveness while always anticipating user expectations.
At the end of the semester, students will prepare a presentation for their final critique. The presentation will center on a website or application that has been created, developed, and designed entirely by the student. All stages of conception, direction, and overall significance of the project will be divined by the student as well, and the work will incorporate both topics learned in class and a demonstration of the student’s overall understanding of Interactive Design I. This course will prove to be an intense and highly rewarding academic experience for all!
Classes will meet on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. The semester kicked off Wednesday, September 3rd. To find out more about the instructor for this course, and with any other questions, feel encouraged to contact the Gradaute School of Technology. Office hours may be scheduled by appointment.
