While your kids may be rejoicing during their summer vacation, many of them will fall behind in their academic performance. According to a study performed by the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, young students can lose up to one month of academic subject matter in key subjects like mathematics, science, and reading composition just a few weeks into summer vacation. Providing your children with the proper stimulation and challenges during the summer months will not only prevent them from falling behind the following school year, but also put them ahead for their next semester.
