The residents of The Welcome Assisted Living and The Oaks Independent Living Apartments recently completed twenty-five fleece tie blankets.  Several residents worked an estimated three hours on each blanket.  The group is making their Blanket Blessings to be donated to local charities.  This first batch of blankets is being donated to Families in Crisis of Killeen.  A raffle was held to raise money to purchase more fleece and a second round of blankets will be donated to another charity. Kathy Crawford, Coryell Memorial Healthcare Housekeeper, won the raffle and is pictured showing off the blanket she selected.
