For many Christians, attending church services year-round is an excellent way to engage with the community in shared devotion to the Lord. This love is celebrated in its fullest glory during the Christmas season, which is why Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Honolulu, HI, is gearing up for this special time of year. Whether you’re a longtime resident or just visiting the island, you and your family will be welcomed with open arms.

church servicesThis year’s services will be held on Christmas Eve, which falls on Saturday, Dec. 24th. To celebrate the birth of Christ, the program will begin with a caroling session around the neighborhood. Caroling will commence at 5:30 p.m. in Eaton Square in front of the food pantry, so bring your merriment and cheer to join the congregation for a song-filled evening!

If you’d like to brush up on your singing skills prior to the caroling event, you are welcome to sing in the church choir on Sundays before worship. Rehearsals begin at 9:00 a.m., an hour before the start of morning services.

After caroling, Christmas Eve church services will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Suite 208 in Eaton Square. This year’s candlelight services will focus on the nativity gospel and, as usual, are welcome to visitors and members of the congregation alike. If you are unable to attend services on Christmas Eve, there will also be a sermon held on Christmas Day.
