When we go through grief we experience many different emotions. We might experience joy, sadness, depression, anxiety and even fear. Everyone is different but almost all of us will experience the shedding of tears. Tears are a beautiful gift from God that allows us to release the emotions we are feeling through our eyes. Tears are a source of healing and often times they come at moments when you wish they just wouldn’t. When you lose someone you love who is close to your heart, you often times have moments when you feel like your heart has just been ripped open all over again. Allow your tears to flow and don’t try to hold them in, let the healing of your heart manifest so that one day you will be somewhat whole again. With the holidays here take a moment by yourself and remember your loved ones who are not with you this year. It’s okay to shed tears and to feel the pain and the emotions that come with not having your loved ones near.
