Why Become A Funeral Director? November 3, 2016

Why Become A Funeral Director?, Wagoner, Oklahoma

At a young age most of us start to dream of what were going to be when we grow up and get out of school. For some they dream of being a police officer, fireman, dentist and for a few a funeral director. I believe that whatever it is that we decide to do in life it’s truly a desire and gift from God. Randy Shipman who founded and built the Shipman Funeral Home’s in Oklahoma at a young age knew he wasn’t going to be a doctor like his dad but still wanted to help and heal people in another way. That’s when he decided with his wife Brenda by his side to attend mortuary college in Dallas and receive his license. Randy has been blessed to serve the Wagoner and other surrounding communities for over forty years helping heal hearts one at a time. There’s more to being a funeral director or even a funeral directors wife than what meets the eye. A funeral director is someone who has a servants heart and has a passion to see people through the most difficult time of their lives. We encourage those who fell that tugging on their hearts to become a funeral director to take the time and set down with a director who is well seasoned and let them give you some guidance. One of the number one reason’s why funeral director choose being a director is to help others. You can be anything you want to be. If you are interested in becoming a director we would like to hear from you. Email us at shipmanfuneralhomes.com – 918-485-9525
