"HelloGiggles NYC" Takes Over UCB East Theater Friday, November 29th!, Manhattan, New York

After an exhausting day of Black Friday shopping, relax and unwind with the cast of "HelloGiggles NYC!" Billed as “a stand-up comedy and storytelling show of extreme importance,” "HelloGiggles NYC" includes multiple writers for, contributors to, and friends of the illustrious founders of popular website HelloGiggles performing in an exclusive show at UCB East (“The Beast”) on Friday, November 29th at 7:30 p.m.

Appearing LIVE will be Aparna Nancherla, Bethany Hall, Matt Rubano, Sasheer Zamata, and Sean Morrow. Hosted by illustrious 13-year-old Ruby Karp, a longtime contributor to HelloGiggles herself, the show will prove a delight for fans of razor-sharp comedy, quality writing, and former bassists of the band Taking Back Sunday (looking at you, Mr. Rubano).

For those unfamiliar with the work of HelloGiggles, the creators have described the website and subsequent affiliations as “a positive online community for women (although men are always welcome!)” that covers a wide range of topics. From DIY/crafting projects to nostalgia to modern friendship, pets, fandom, sex & relationships, it can all be found next to patented “tips on savvy and stylish living meant to inspire a smile.” Founded by the close trio of musician and actress Zooey Deschanel, television writer Molly McAleer, and former talent producer/all-around LA influence Sophia Rossi, HelloGiggles has proved a dynamic, bubbly, and influential website since its launch in 2011.

"HelloGiggles NYC" costs just $5, and reservations may be made ahead of time through the comedy club’s website. There will also be a stand-by line for the show. Despite the ever-youthful host, it is the policy of UCB East to insist that ticket holders be 16 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an adult.

Since the 1990s the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater has held a reputation for being today’s home of tomorrow’s future comedy stars. Don’t miss a chance to see these rising stars; reserve your spot today! For more information on UCB East, or to view a full schedule of events, visit the comedy venue’s website.
