The L. Suzio York Hill Companies has called New Haven County home for more than a century. Over the years, they’ve been honored to get involved and give back to the community by providing ready-mix concrete products and material supply services to support inspiring projects throughout the South Central Connecticut area. In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, the team looks back on a favorite project from their years of community involvement efforts: the Smilow Cancer Hospital.
In 2009, The L. Suzio York Hill Companies joined forces with the Manafort Brothers of Plainville, CT, on an incredible new project. The Smillow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven was set to bring an exceptional new cancer care facility to the area and revolutionize the specialized care options available to the community. Considered the most comprehensive destination for cancer treatment between Boston and New York City, the Smilow Cancer Hospital design measured in at 497,000 square feet and 14 stories high.
A facility this ambitious needed the highest quality building materials to bring it all to life, and The L. Suzio York Hill Companies were thrilled to participate. The company provided their reliable ready-mixed concrete products for an unwavering basis for this groundbreaking facility. By contributing their carefully mixed and quality-controlled products, the Suzio team was honored to help build an institution that will serve Connecticut for generations to come.
