For a store that appreciates the value and legacy behind each and every record, Academy Records is counting down the days to Record Store Day on Saturday, April 21. As one of over 700 independently owned record stores participating in the celebration, Academy Records is looking to further their collection of used, vintage and rare records.
This record store is a treasure chest for record lovers, as the most valued and namesake albums are uncovered. Academy Records will trade and buy used records, acquiring CDs and vinyl records from recognized musical kings, to up-and-coming artists and one hit wonders. In preparation for RSD 2012, Academy Records is calling in the record collecting troops and welcoming used vinyl to be purchased or traded and added to their selection.
On Record Store Day, music collectors can find rare purchases and mark the releases of some anticipated titles to be featured only in participating stores. RSD participating shops will showcase records from over 140 classic and currents artists from Grateful Dead to Katy Perry, that have never been released, or will be exclusively released on the day. Falling into three categories including Record Store Day exclusive releases, Record Store Day limited run/regional focus releases, and Record Store Day's first time releases, this is one day of the year that true music collectors can find some gold.
For those who love all things music, Academy Records salutes you and invites you to bring in your records for a trade or sell as the countdown begins to Record Store Day 2012!
