SANNE WEVERS

She is the young girls from the Netherlands who beat out Simone and Aly for the gold on beam. Her trademark move is the double L turn with leg at horizontal.

SANNE started winning championships when she started increasing the difficulty of her gymnastics routine. It was at Glasgow Grand Prix in 2008 that she won gold for both bar and beam.

Her life had a series of disappointments and letdowns. She had to skip previous Olympic events due to leg injuries and she had fallen many times. But now she is the gold medal champion of beam, being able to stand with the top gymnasts of the world.
