Rochester’s own artist and philanthropist Greg Polisseni opened his exceptional one man exhibition on May3rd with an honorable premier featuring a number of other designers, artists and guests at CDS Monarch. The exhibition, entitled “Breaking Free”, runs until June 30th and includes a wide range of works by Polisseni including his original paintings, posters, and prints.
Spearheaded in conjunction with ASC Graphics, the campaign was aimed to bring awareness and thanks to the men and women in the armed forces. “Breaking Free” features Polisseni’s acclaimed piece “Stars & Stripes”, a touching testament created for Warriors Salute, a service of CDS Monarch during the SC Fine Arts Jazz Festival. “Stars & Stripes” is an original limited edition print and poster series inspired by the sacrifice and service of the United States veterans.
The premiere event allowed fans and other artists the opportunity to browse and discuss this impressive collection and portfolio. Polisseni himself attended the event and personally signed a number of his lithographs and prints. ASC Graphics developed the stunning car details, event banner, and wraps as well as the golf ball (pictured left). Additionally, Polisseni declared that he and SC Fine Art Gallery owner Steve Argento will donate all proceeds from the sale of “Stars & Stripes” to Warrior Salute.
“I was honored to be asked to create a piece last summer during the Jazz Fest, to be placed at The Nucor House," stated Polisseni. "After all that our Veterans have sacrificed for us, I couldn’t think of a better way to honor them."
