Have you always wanted to learn how to skydive? At the Pacific Skydiving Center in Waialua, HI, you can learn to be an experienced jumper. The center's skydiving school offers a USPA Accelerated Freefall (AFF) skydiving course to anyone who wants to become an expert skydiver. This course consists of multiple levels that will develop your skydiving skills so you too can become a licensed skydiver able to freefall solo from 14,000 feet in the air.

When you enroll in the AFF skydiving course at the Pacific Skydiving Center, you will be trained by the best USPA skydiving instructors and coaches in the country. For your first several jumps, you will tandem skydive, meaning the instructor will be attached during your freefall so they are able to help you make corrections as you develop your canopy control skills.

skydiving-school-waialua-hiWhen you are ready to make solo jumps, the skydiving school requires you to become a member of the United States Parachute Association. Next, you will have to complete 3 to 4 hours of ground school, which will enhance your knowledge of gear, emergency procedures, body positions, and basic canopy flight. Once you move through this course, you can begin solo AFF jumps. During these jumps, you will wear your own parachute and your skydiving instructor will start out holding you until you are able to demonstrate stability, effective deployment of your parachute, and safe landings. After you pass this stage, you will progress to the next levels, where you will continue to earn more freedom during freefall.
