Whether you're interest is to change your name to mimic your favorite childhood character, superhero or simply because you're getting married, We The People of NY will help.

Here's a list of some of the most famous name changes throughout the world:

Man in Nebraska changes his name to Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Fans of dinosaurs will love this one! In May 2012 a 23-year-old Nebraska man legally changed his name from Tyler Gold to Tyrannosaurus Rex. The man said he wanted to change his name because he thought the name T-Rex was cooler. As an entrepreneur, he also stated that the new name made him more recognizable and overall memorable.

Would you change your name to a series of comic book characters?

Two guys in England did in 2011. The change came after the pair said they became bored with their day-to-day lives and wanted to change their name to something that reflected their true personalities. A few forms later, the duo combined as many comic names as possible to change their names to what would become the longest two monikers in the UK. Kevin Borbage is now legally named Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.

Additionally, his fellow superhero friend Daniel now goes by Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman HeMan Batman Thrash!

Who's Awesome? Meet Captain Awesome!

Oregon's very own Douglas Allen Smith Jr. changed his name to Captain Awesome in November of 2010. He officially made the name change to the cartoon-style moniker after appearing before a Lane County judge and explaining his reasons for the switch. Inspired by the NBC's "Chuck" television character Dr. Devon "Captain Awesome" Woodcomb, he definitely has a name that turns heads now. Well done, Mr. Awesome! Nice signature too.

While you may not be among those who want to make a change simply to get noticed, changing your name may give you that "fresh start" feeling. It's never too early to change your name and it's certainly never too late to do something that you're truly proud of. Take it from these guys. Name changes can only get better from here!
