Rochester Hearing and Speech Center’s Time to Shine Announces Community Award Recipients
Rochester Hearing and Speech Center held its annual celebration Time to Shine on Wednesday, May 18 at the Strathallan Hotel. Over 140 people attended this special evening which honored the volunteers and community partnerships that contributed to the organization’s success. “This is an evening about enjoying and capturing special moments with committed and dedicated people who make possible the services that RHSC provides in our community”, said Jennifer Wilson, board chair. “The support and involvement of our volunteers and partners serves to remind us that by working together we achieve so much more that we could ever do alone”
The 2016 recipients are:
Distinguished Service Award—Daniel Meyers, Retiring President and CEO Al Sigl Community of Agencies.
This award recognizes the exceptional career of an individual whose numerous contributions have made a significant and lasting mark on our community.
Building a Sound Community Award—Al Sigl Community of Agencies Sports Committee
This award is given to a community member or group that has shown sustained commitment to RHSC and contributed significantly to our mission of Communication for Life through special events, leadership and advocacy.
Communication for Life Award—Action for a Better Community, Head Start
This award is given to a community volunteer or volunteer group that embodies RHSC’s vision of Communication for Life. Through their service and/or commitment they have moved the cause of better hearing and speech services to a higher level of excellence.
James J. DeCaro Leadership Award—Kristie Beach, Immediate Past Board Chair, CPA, EFPR Group
This award recognizes a volunteer whose efforts exemplify exceptional leadership skills in furthering the mission of Rochester Hearing and Speech Center.
