Dr. Larry Johnson is one of those highly-esteemed doctors and is a favorite of many of the OBGYN Associate patients. Dr. Johnson has been a staple at OBGYN Associates since 2005. He received his bachelor’s degree from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and carried out his residency at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati. It was during his third year of medical school that Dr. Johnson decided to become an OBGYN. 

Dr. Johnson particularly enjoys delivering babies, and participating in special and joyful times in his patients’ lives. It’s safe to say that his career has been full of those joyful moments--sharing the miracle of birth with a family is an honor and an unmatched experience! When asked what about the most memorable moment in his career, Dr. Johnson stated, “I have had many, many memorable experiences during my career and cannot pick just one. However, in general, I would say that the impact of each new life born is a miracle for the family and everyone associated with the baby – including me!”

Dr. Johnson’s coworkers describe him as “pleasant, funny, and caring,” and they appreciate how he personally greets them each morning. Within his large patient base, “it’s very common for him to have delivered a baby, watch[ed] her grow up, and then deliver[ed] her baby, too.” Dr. Johnson is also a proud parent and grandparent, with one son, three daughters, two granddaughters, and six grandsons. Many would be surprised to know that he also has a twin brother named Gary. In his downtime, Dr. Johnson enjoys scuba diving, and has recently started to explore the world of photography.
