While both solutions may cause slight discomfort as a result of shifting teeth, braces are more likely to cause sores in the mouth as a result of the metal components. 
• Appearance: Traditional braces are readily apparent due to the metal brackets. Invisalign, on the other hand, is much more discreet. The plastic trays your dentist will provide are clear and are thus virtually undetectable. If you’re seeking a solution that isn’t noticeable, Invisalign is the more suitable option.
• Cost: Typically, Invisalign costs about the same as traditional braces. With that being said, Invisalign is considered a form of cosmetic dentistry, and as such, many insurance plans will cover the cost of treatment as they would other procedures performed by your dentist. Many patients find that although Invisalign could cost the same amount of money as traditional braces, the benefits outweigh the price.
