This week is a very special week.  It pays tribute to many important people.  First of all it is NURSING HOME week.  During this week, we hold various special events, fun filled themed days and host a very important dance to many seniors who live on our campus.  This week is not only for our residents but also the staff that are here more than they are in their own homes!  We honor all staff this week, get them invoved in our themed days and offer a pancake breakfast for all residents, families and staff!  Today is hat day.  Yesterday was crazy hair day and while some of us got a few funny looks as we drove to work yesterday, it sure brightened the day seeing the smiles it brought to our residents’ faces!  Sure wish I had a picture to share of our Recreation Therapy Manager.  She won even though it wasn’t a contest! 

This week also pays tribute to our very compassionate and amazing nurses we have on our team.  They work many countless hours taking care of others.    It is also MDS day today!  Our MDS teams consists of nurses.  The Minimum Data Set (MDS) team ensures accuracy of our federally mandated process for clinical assessment of all our residents. 

What a week!  It covers so many important people! Thank you to all of these very special people for choosing to be part of our Hillview Team!
