Thinking about spring yardwork? Do you have an outside unit for your air conditioner? Remove and don’t place dense vegetation against the unit. Dense vegetation obstructs air flow, forcing the motor to work harder and possibly shortening its lifespan. Leave 2 to 3 feet of space between the sides of the air conditioner and surrounding plants. Plants like ivy engulfing a unit seems tempting, it would cause serious and expensive problems.

Removing any overhanging branches that are too close it recommended. That prevent debris from falling into the unit, or damage from branches falling onto the unit.

Additionally, leave plenty of room for a technician to get in and around the unit for general maintaining or repair. All Temperature Systems, Inc. have staff to help with Air Conditioner installation and Air Conditioner repair. Free Air Estimate always available if you would like to replace or add Air Conditioning this spring.
