We had a great weekend here at Stand Up. With four shows on Saturday and two on Sunday from club favorites like Guy Code’s Andrew Schulz, Comedy Central Presents’ Greer Barnes, and radio personally James Mattern everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. These, and other wonderful comedians tore up the stage leaving eager audiences in stitches. We also had a fabulous Industry night this past Monday, with Gary Vider of “America’s Got Talent” talent fame. We had a great time and can’t wait for the next one.
Still to come this week, two of Bob Dibuono’s Character Flawed shows. These shows are great opportunities for promising new talent to perform alongside comedic professionals. The comics always bring upbeat and exciting energy to these shows, making them truly fun to watch. We also have our late and loud show Wednesdays at 10:15 Hosted by Roddy MacInnes, with a lineup of rising stars and professionals.
In comedy news this week, club regular and Nightly Show contributor Mike Yard did a fantastic bit on The Nightly Show, in response to people all over America celebrating Confederate Flag day, this past Saturday, March 5. He drove four hours from New York, to Gettysburg PA, to report on the group that was gathering there, he arrived, stepped out of his vehicle and flipped double birdies at the group, and promptly left. The bit was clever and funny and can be viewed here. You can catch Mike Yard here next week Friday 3/18 and Saturday 3/19.
Back at the club don’t forget, Monday night is Industry Night. If you work in the service industry, we offer free admission and a free shot for you and a friend with proof of employment. We don’t want you to dread coming to bars on your free time if you work in one, we want to give you a break. Plus, every Thursday night is #CollegeComedy night with your host, Jared Freid. If you are a student, or a teacher, we’ll give you discounted drinks all evening with your student/teacher ID. We have something great almost every night, so be sure to check us out.
