  • Golf Ball Roll: To alleviate chronic pain due to overpronation of the foot, place a golf ball on the underside of your foot while standing or seated. Then, roll the golf ball back and forth on sore spots for up to one minute per day.
  • Foam Roller Quadriceps (SMR): Lower back pain can be the result of hyperextension of the lower back in an attempt to pull the torso upright. This exercise requires you to place a foam roller perpendicular to your thigh and lie over it. This should be repeated on each leg once daily.
  • Baseball On Gluteal Complex (SMR): A sedentary lifestyle of spending a lot of time seated at a desk can cause weak gluteal muscles. Recondition these tissues by lying on your back with your knees bent. Place a baseball under your butt on any sore spots and hod the ball still on those spots for up to twenty-seconds. This exercise should be performed for a total of up to two minutes daily.
  • Two Tennis Balls On Upper Back (SMR): Chronic stress can cause a rounding of the upper back. Eventually, this can result in chronic pain as the shoulders fall out of alignment. To alleviate this pain, place two tennis balls on either side of your mid-to-upper back while lying down. Bend the knees and tilt your pelvis lower towards the ground, staying still on any sore spots for up to thirty-seconds. As you perform this exercise, you should move the balls towards your shoulders, stopping at any points of pain.
