Born in Brooklyn and raised in New York City, owner and founder Matt Pomerantz knows a thing or two about good bagels. When the shop was getting ready to make their first batch of bagels, the bagel machine operator went down. Matt scrambled to be ready for the opening and hired a guy to hand-roll and kettle-boil the bagels. The bagels were so good that the rolling machine was immediately retired and never used again. Zucker's is “the authentic NYC hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagel.”
Matt left his job on Wall Street to pursue the family business, a love of bagels, and great food. Zucker’s is named after his mother Roslyn Marilyn Zucker Pomerantz. From Rivington Street and Wall Street to Chelsea and Tribeca, and to Grand Central, everything has come full circle… or should we say, full bagel!
Zucker’s is known for their artisanal bagels made with locally sourced ingredients. All the bagels are
made with only unbromated flours and malt sweetener, baked daily on site for a healthy and delicious taste.
To top off your breakfast meal, Zucker’s serves freshly brewed La Colombe Coffee. Guests can also choose from an assortment of freshly baked muffins, danishes, brownies, cakes, and cookies, including rugelach and traditional Russian coffee cake.
