Recently I heard a song on the radio by Tim McGraw that was called "Be Humble and Kind" and related to a variety of scenarios.  This struck home to me as it relates to the pawn business. 

I had a conversation with a customer yesterday that brought out that he was very appreciative of the way he was treated when he came in to the shop.  It seems that the first time he had come in his wife was in the hospital due to a stroke and he had spent all of his savings to just keep afloat.  He had tried another pawn shop where he said he had been treated with contempt and general disinterest. 

At Moore Pawn and Furniture, we are very focused on trying to provide our services with a eye toward grace and kindness as the main ingredient.  We believe strongly that most of us are but one paycheck away from needing a pawn or payday loan ourselves.  Therefore, we are not to act all superior to anybody. 

Sorry to be a little preachy there but I think it is important for people to know how we approach our shop and customers.
