New York, New York – On November 19th, Touro College Graduate School of Technology attended a Story Slam, an event coordinated by The Moth during which members of the audience were invited to tell stories based on the various themes of the night. The Moth, a non-profit organization, brings engaging and well-crafted stories to live audiences in major cities all over the world.
The Story Slam was a great success, as the audience was packed with students of the Multimedia Design program of Touro College graduate school. In a city like New York, where one passes countless strangers each day, peering into the hearts and minds of unknown people is a fascinating experience. Touro College’s Story Slam was an emotionally charged event that audience members considered eye-opening.
In an age where gadgets occupy people for hours and most find delight through chatting via social media and living vicariously through the broadcasted lives of the rich and famous, it can be truly refreshing to come together with fellow New Yorkers and simply listen to the inspiring and often stranger-than-fiction tales of everyday life.
