Fuel your creative spark this summer with engaging digital photography classes at Touro College Graduate School of Technology. Known for its innovative art and technology programs, Touro College is offering an intensive seven week course this summer entitled Digital Photography for Designers.
Digital Photography for Designers is a practical introduction to the craft of digital photography that teaches students both traditional and experimental approaches to photographic image making. This allows students to better harness the power of images through their work in web and multimedia communication design.
Classes meet twice a week over the course of seven weeks. Throughout the course, students will develop basic documentary photography skills focusing on people in natural and staged settings. Additionally students will learn how to document other visual aspects of culture, including architecture, fashion, and material objects. As they learn to experiment creatively, students will simultaneously develop practical and tangible knowledge of their cameras, including focus, framing, depth-of-field, exposure, and issues of contrast.
Digital Photography for Designers encourages students to develop their unique styles, but it does so in the context of introducing through research and in-class lectures the rich history of photography's development as practiced by some of the great photographers of the past 180 years.
Any student from outside Touro College may register as a non-matriculated student. Registration for the Digital Photography for Designers course is open until Friday, June 14th with classes beginning on Wednesday June 12th. Contact Prerana Bhusal at email@example.com for more information.
