In an effort to offer more hands-on coursework for students of the Masters of Art in Web & Multimedia Design program, NYC technology school Touro College Graduate School of Technology is now offering WMM 614 “Mobile Apps Design & Development.” This course, starting in the fall 2013 semester, is taught by Professor Irina Berman and is worth three credit hours.
In this course students will expand upon their existing app development knowledge to create robust and relevant business applications for a range of Android mobile devices. The course will also cover how these programs are integrated with enterprise systems.
Students enjoy a tangible learning experience as they explore advanced design and production concepts in a real-world production environment. The parameters established by such a learning environment teaches students a valuable lesson in realistic project constraints such as budget, schedule, production tools, and planning.
Professor Irina Berman will guide students to:
- Learn skills required to produce and maintain a high-quality mobile software product
- Gain a breadth of knowledge for developing applications with the Android SDK and iOS Xcode
- Gain a depth of knowledge in select areas of the Android SDK and iOS platform
- Effectively write and speak about software engineering and mobile application development
