Finding the best training and certification program is an important first step in many successful careers. Great Oaks Career Campuses, located in the Cincinnati area, is one of the best trade schools in the nation for careers in the medical, IT, and rescue fields. 

A new session at the Fire and Emergency Medical Rescue Academy begins April 4, 2016. The ACCSC-accredited program consists of 667 hours of EMS, fire, fire pumper, hazardous materials incidents, and technical rescue training from the academy’s nationally and internationally-acclaimed faculty. Graduates receive Pro Board certifications and are eligible to take examinations for Ohio FF, Ohio EMT, and the National Registry of EMT credentials.

Program requirements include attendance at an information session at the Scarlet Oaks campus, a high school diploma or GED, and a cleared background check. Prospective students also must achieve a Work Keys assessment score of four or higher in Applied Math and Locating Information and a score of five in Reading for Information skills. Candidates must receive a physical by a doctor, a certified nurse practitioner, or a physician’s assistant to confirm that strenuous activity is something they can perform.
