The family dental practice of Mainwaring John D DDS in Orange, CT is growing! Throughout years of practice, Dr. John Mainwaring has earned a reputation for providing outstanding dental care. Recently, the family dental office has added two exceptional new dentists who provide the same level of quality, compassionate care. Dr. Pamela Karkut is one of these exciting new additions to the Mainwaring John D DDS team, offering her sizable skill and committed care to the respected family dental practice.

Dr. Karkut brings a wealth of general dentistry training and experience to Dr. Mainwaring's trusted family dental practice. After earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Karkut received advanced general dentistry training at the Danbury Hospital residency program. 

Passionate about serving her community, she has also accumulated valuable experience from numerous volunteer efforts.

During her training, she participated in UCONN’s first oral surgery service trip to the Dominican Republic and spent time after graduation volunteering with Special Olympics and at non-profit dental clinics, CT’s Mission of Mercy, and elementary schools. These diverse experiences have equipped her with adaptability in the face of unique dental situations, and she offers the best solution for every individual case that comes into the dental office.

When she's not providing above-and-beyond care at the Orange, CT dental office, Dr. Karkut can be found on the ski slopes, tennis courts, or running trails. She ran for the UCONN Women’s Cross-Country and Track teams and continues to be an avid runner today. She also enjoys exploring the world by traveling to nearby and faraway destinations. Dr. Karkut resides in Fairfield, CT, with her partner, Christopher, and Zoey, their Goldendoodle puppy.
