You don't need a lot of money to enjoy a night out at Cincinnati's best happy hour hotspots. Whether you’re into nachos and cheap beer or artisan cheeses and Spanish reds, there's a happy hour in Cincinnati to enjoy. When you're looking for delicious drinks to imbibe without squeezing your wallet, stop by one of these haunts after work:
Nada: Take your next happy hour south of the border at Nada in the Central Business District. It’s the perfect spot for a big crowd, and with $3 Coronas and a happy hour menu filled with top-shelf cocktails, your memories of the work day will fade away before you’ve even decided which delicious snack to try. Our recommendations? Order up a plate of the short rib BBQ sopes, baja fish tacos, and the salsa tasting trio.
Unwind Wine Bar & Light Fare: If your idea of a perfect happy hour involves half-price wine and fantastic vegetarian food in a dreamy and an inviting atmosphere, you’ll love Unwind Wine Bar & Light Fare. There’s seating inside as well as a patio outside, and while they do have a short list of beers, it's definitely a wine bar at heart. They’re known for their artisan cheese board, but we also love their shiitake smoked gouda dip, pesto flatbread, and, of course, their decadent chocolate ganache cake—a sweet way to end evening.
The Famous Neon’s Unplugged: It’s probably no surprise that Neon’s in OTR is on our Cincinnati best happy hour list. Gigantic patio? Check. Great appetizers? Check. Crowd-friendly? Check. Neon's is Cincinnati's modern take on a beer garden. It’s dog-friendly, has a fantastic beer list, daily specials, and rotating food vendors that come in from Cincinnati’s best nearby restaurants.
Taft’s Ale House: Housed in a gorgeously renovated church, Taft’s Ale House has a wide selection of craft beers on tap and plenty of starters, salads, sandwiches, and platters to choose from on their menu. While certainly not the cheapest happy hour on our list, Taft's is the perfect locale for a more upscale happy hour joint.
MVP Bar & Grille: All night happy hours, cheap beer, live music, and a super laid-back vibe make MVP Bar & Grille a classic happy hour pick. When you’re craving a traditional post-work unwind complete with wings (sold by the pound!), smothered BBQ pork sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas, you’ll feel right at home at MVP Bar & Grille. Plus, they’ve got enough beer to satisfy any palate, from your loyal domestic drinker to your import lover and local craft enthusiast. They offer a selection of wine and cocktails, too.
Pearl’s: A truly charming newcomer to the Columbia-Tusculum area, Pearl’s opened its doors in 2014 and we fell instantly in love with it! The bar itself is in a historical wooden clapboard home complete with a fireplace, gorgeous patio, and chic little bar space. Their $8 cocktails pack a punch, and their small bites menu has enough variety to appeal to a diverse crowd. The soft pretzels and beer cheese are a must, as is their homemade spinach and artichoke dip!
