Melting the worries of those journeying from far away, Old Lāhaina Lū‘au offers a unique display of traditional Hawaiian culture. Tucked away on a picturesque beach setting, this authentic Hawaiian lū‘au welcomes you into an elegant atmosphere, filled with gracious hosts and enriching entertainment. For more than 30 years, these history enthusiasts have continued to pour out their passion in the form of a one-of-a-kind hula experience and feast.

In keeping with ho‘okipa, Old Lāhaina Lū‘au presents guests with fresh flower lei as they step into a quaint village scene—the first local establishment to offer this service. Their nightly lū‘au begin with interactive games and demonstrations, such as imu unearthing, poi pounding, and kapa making.

Narrations take shape throughout the evening where guests learn about the island’s native heritage, including the reasoning behind local cuisine featured during pāʻina ahiahi. From laulau and pua'a kālua to poke ‘ahi and pipi ko‘ala, you can enjoy a wide range of dishes in the comfort of the hale ‘ai. Tropical drinks are also available at a premium open bar.

Sunset is the culmination of the evening’s main entertainment that transports you through the story of Hawaiian ancestors. Starting with the Polynesian migration and concluding with the evolution of modern hula, guests can look forward to seeing breathtaking cultural dances, rich songs, and captivating tales of eras long ago. Sitting in an open-air amphitheater, couples and families have a clear view of the award-winning production.

You and your loved ones are invited to celebrate this educational and fascinating display of Hawaiian lū‘au. Feel free to reach out to the friendly hosts at Old Lāhaina Lū‘au today by calling (808) 667-1998, or visit them online for more information.
