About Watch Me Learn

In 2003, Mary Beth Palo founded Watch Me Learn, eventually building it into the world's leading video teaching-tool for children with developmental delays. Designed originally for her own autistic child Brett, Watch Me Learn has gone on to provide real and proven results across a spectrum of developmentally challenged children.

After years of failed one-on-one tutoring and therapy, Mary Beth Palo became disengaged with the traditional teaching methods used on her son Brett. She decided to take things into her own hands, creating a teaching video to use with her child. This video could grab his attention and hold onto it, allowing what was being taught to truly be absorbed. The results were tremendous, quickly becoming a turning-point in Brett's road to recovery. Soon thereafter, Palo became inundated in requests for her homemade videos, ultimately leading to the creation of the Watch Me Learn organization.

Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB), the Watch Me Learn video relies on video modeling, which is a scientifically proven, evidence-based teaching method (based on a 2007 Indiana University study and research from the Department of Psychology at Claremont McKenna College). Watch me Learn offers a unique approach to treating and assisting children with developmental delays, language delays, autism, and those learning English as a second language. The program has been dubbed the "most effective method of instruction for the visual learner," based off its video modeling, which engages children by capturing their attention and stimulating their senses.

The Watch Me Learn method has been approved and tested by classroom educators, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), psychologists and parents. Support and endorsement includes dozens of high-profile people, groups, and organizations, including the National Autism Association®, Talk About Curing Autism® (TACA) and the publisher of ABLLS™-R.
