Kick Off The Holiday Season in The Theater at Arthur Reel Studio's Fall/Winter Showcase, Bronx, New York

If you’re looking for a way to get out of the house between Thanksgiving and New Year's, consider taking in a show. During the first week of December, Arthur Reel Studio, Communications and Actor Training is hosting a showcase of student productions. During these four evening and one matinee performance, students of Arthur Reel Studio’s acting classes will be performing three shows they have written and directed with the guidance of Arthur Reel’s communication training.

The student’s work featured in the performance includes theatrical productions created by a group of individuals who sought out Arthur Reel’s training for personal development and a creative outlet in addition to their everyday careers. Each performance piece was developed in Arthur Reel’s workshops by new and experienced students. The students have been able to develop the skills necessary to create professional level performances for your enjoyment.

The performances will include:

  • The Cuban Affair by Andrew Comba

Starring: Andrew Comba, Natasha Kaplan, Aaron Kelly, Lauri Lee, Richard Presutti, Caroline Rizzo

  • The Garden by Kingsley Dougherty

Starring: Lauri Lee, Richard Presutti, Caroline Rizzo

  • Gauguin’s Pearl Written and directed by Patricia Anderson

Starring: Aaron Kelly

Patricia Anderson, who started with Arthur Reel to become more assertive, mature, and confident, is now writing and directing original performance pieces with the help of the studio’s workshop. The shows make up a fantastic, entertaining evening of Off-Broadway caliber talent. While the shows take a minimalist approach due to limited financial resources, the performance space and creative outcomes are both at a professional level.

Check out the students of Arthur Reel Studio, Communications and Actor Training nightly performances at The Bridge Theatre, 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor (Between Broadway & 8th Avenue) from Wednesday, December 4th to Saturday, December 7th at 7:30 p.m., with a final matinee showing on Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $15 and reservations can be made by calling (212) 595-1733.
