Winter is just around the corner, bringing a whole new set of mishaps along with it. From slips on icy walks to holiday turkey carving incidents, health emergency training helps prepare you for anything Old Man Winter throws your way. Northern KY Emergency Medical Services in Fort Thomas, KY is offering a variety of American Heart Association-certified CPR and first aid training courses this November, all taught by trained, experienced staff with real-world emergency health experience.

Their non-profit training center has been providing health emergency training to the Great Cincinnati area for over 50 years, making it the ideal place to prepare for winter with these November courses:

  • First Aid: Hanging Christmas lights or lighting the fireplace are treasured winter moments. Sit secure in the knowledge that you’re ready for the unexpected fall or burn, and you’ll feel even more safe and cozy in the twinkle and glow. This two-hour health emergency training course will have you calm and capable, no matter what the situation.

  • Bloodborne Pathogen: Northern KY Emergency Medical Service’s training center will also hold a one-hour bloodborne pathogen training course this November. Designed to complement CPR and first aid training, the course gives you the knowledge to prevent exposure to and spread of bloodborne pathogens, including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV.
  • Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED: You’ll leave the training center after this two-hour course with the skills to aid in respiratory emergencies, cardiac arrest, choking, and other common life threatening emergencies. The course also teaches the basics of automated external defibrillation, leaving you confident to use public access defibrillation without fear.
  • Healthcare Provider: Refresh your CPR and first aid training for the new year with this four-hour course. Specially designed for healthcare professionals, this course covers adult, pediatric, infant, and AED CPR.

As you pull out the coats and boots and stack the firewood, consider adding an extra layer of health emergency training to your winter preparations. Call Northern KY Emergency Medical Services at (859) 572-4511 or visit their website to register for a November course today
