Since 1976, Northern KY Emergency Medical Services Inc. (NKEMS) has been Northern Kentucky’s premier source for AED training and CPR and First Aid training. This non-profit training center, which is certified by both the American Heart Association and the American Health and Safety Institute, is dedicated to providing individuals, corporations, and communities with the skills they need to save lives in an emergency situation. NKEMS maintains a small staff of trainers who are both healthcare professionals and have extensive hands-on experience working in emergency services. The instructors use their real-life knowledge to teach a variety of health and safety courses, including:

  • CPR/AED
  • First Aid
  • First Responder
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Mass CPR Training
  • Healthcare Provider CPR

All of the courses are offered on a regularly scheduled basis, and during the month of September, NKEMS will even be offering courses on Saturdays. On Saturday, September 12th, they’ll be offering Healthcare Provider CPR from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Meeting Rooms A & B at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The following Saturday, September 19th, they’ll be offering Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid, Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED, and Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED AND First Aid from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the same location.

NKEMS doesn’t just pass on lifesaving skills to others. They also sell competitively priced First Aid Kits and AEDs, which they’ll deliver and install anywhere, whether it’s a school, church, or business.
