At Cherokee Academy at Clayton in Canton, GA, we understand the importance of early childhood education, which is why our curriculum is designed to help each and every student realize his or her full potential. Our teachers are trained to nurture your child at every stage of early development with a comprehensive approach that paves the way for Pre-K and kindergarten.

  • Infants (6 weeks to 12 months): Your infant will receive all the care and attention they need with our loving teachers. He or she will feel right at home, all the while fostering a healthy sense of exploration and communication.
  • Toddlers (12 to 24 months): We’ll help nurture your child’s social and motor skills, and provide him or her with opportunities to play with their peers. Our teachers will also make sure he or she is reaching the social benchmarks that are so important for children this age.
  • Twos (24 to 36 months): Our teachers create lesson plans to build upon the skills your child already has and to expand his or her motor and language skills. We’ll also begin working with your children to develop their problem-solving skills.
  • Threes & Fours: There’s a big difference between children aged three and four, which is why we divide them into two different classes. Our Preschool teachers will nurture your child’s sense of independence, and help him or her work on expressing their emotions.
  • Pre-K: This Georgia Lottery funded program emphasizes exploratory learning, providing learning experiences in all domains: math, science, social studies, arts, and health. Our teachers will help prepare your child for the challenges they’ll face in kindergarten, and also help them build a strong foundation of social skills they’ll need for years to come.
