How to make the perfect pancake with the Eggs 'n Things Pancake Mix.

What you'll need:

  • Our Signature Pancake mix (8 oz. or 2 lbs. bags)
  • 3/4 cup of cold water
  • Cooking oil or butter
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • Ladle or Pancake batter gun
  • Griddle, large pan or flat top
  • Large mixing bowl

Steps:

  1. Set your grill or pan to about 375 degrees F (190 C). Now, put the oil or butter on the pan. Spread it over the entire surface. (Eggs 'n Things uses a blend of oil and butter.) You could use a paper towel or the spatula.
  2. Combine the 3/4 cup of cold water and the 8 oz. of pancake mix into the mixing bowl. Whisk them together well, but leaving it a little lumpy isn't a problem.
  3. Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Use a 2 oz. ladle or something similar and scoop the batter and lay it into the pan. Try to make them as symmetrical as possible. They should be about 4-5 inches in diameter. The entire 8 oz. bag should make about 5-7 pancakes, depending on the diameter of your pancakes.
  5. About 1 minute from putting your first pancake down, you should see some bubbles coming up near the edges. At about 1 1/2 minutes, or when you can see some brown on the bottom edges of the pancakes, flip them over using the spatula.
  6. Once all your pancakes are flipped, it will only take about 1 minute up to 1 1/2 minutes to cook the other side. At that time, remove the 1st pancake with the spatula and flip it onto your plate. Do the same until you take the last pancake off.
  7. Serve it with butter and one of our three syrups.

If you ever want to add ingredients to the pancakes, like macadamia nuts, chocolate chips, bananas or blueberries, you would sprinkle them onto the pancakes at the end of step 4. Then sprinkle some on the top at the end of step 6. It is always a nice addition to dust them with some powdered sugar as well, if you want to kick it up a notch.

Practice makes perfect, but nobody makes pancakes like Eggs 'n Things! From blueberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes to pancakes topped with pineapple whipped cream and macadamia nuts, they've got every single pancake your heart desires.
