• Clean out the fridge weekly. How many days before leftovers stop being appetizing? Probably not very long. Treat your fridge like depot—not a storage garage. Everything must go. If you notice certain foods always get ignored, start keeping them in the front or on an designated “eat now” shelf. Or stop buying them.
• Hide old clothes. What percentage of your closet is filled with clothes you're emotionally attached to, but haven't worn in years? If the answer makes you cringe, try hiding everything you don't wear in a box, and go six months without ever looking inside. When you finally open it, you will have probably lost some of that attachment. Donate everything you no longer care about.
