Sometimes after reviewing your year; the most prominent obstacles or inhibitions associated with your personal growth, future direction or even another career path begin pondering in your mind. That's what Sara McConnell with EXIT Realty Nexus recently discovered with her career path. Sara went from teaching elementary school in a traditional classroom to becoming a full time real estate agent and in less than 5 years has recently become the Managing Partner of the Newest Real Estate Franchise in Elk River, MN at EXIT Realty Nexus.

Below is a quick overview of how an annual review actually inspired one person to pursue a part time business career path and converted her career path successfully into a completely different direction.

Question to Sara: How did you end up switching from a traditional teaching career to a business career in real estate. Sara: I'm driven to work hard and be the best I can at whatever I do, however I also believe that the sky is the limit when it comes to working a little harder than others.  In the teaching situation, the job description was the limit which kind of takes the zest out of the extra effort your giving in a classroom.  So I began exploring other career options.

Question to Sara: When you made the decision to leave the teaching industry you joined a large real estate firm before joining EXIT Realty Nexus.  Why? 

Sara: Had I known about about the amazing business suite of tools, training and support offered by EXIT back then; I would have launched my career then; however I followed the masses thinking 'Bigger is Better'.  I know now that 'Better is Better' from both a real estate agents perspective and the client support aspect as well.

Question to Sara:  Describe what happened to your business career after your first year with EXIT Realty Nexus.

Sara:  Thank you!  I am very excited to be taking on the role of Managing Partner of EXIT Realty Nexus in Elk River.  I agree that this is not a common opportunity presented to agents in most traditional real estate companies; yet this affirms to me and others the uniqueness of EXIT Realty.  EXIT Realty offers a rare business model allowing agents and staff opportunities to build a business within a business.  My broker and coach Frank D'Angelo and I have spent many years teaching and coaching before venturing into the real estate market.  We share the same belief that you can take a teacher out of the classroom, but teaching is in a teachers heart forever.  Helping people with their real estate needs and helping agents succeed is a perfect career opportunity for me.
