Elizabeth Alexander always felt like she was meant to do something special. She learned to read at the age of two, and as a teen she found it natural to teach what she learned to the children she babysat. This hobby of sorts continued into adulthood as she taught in the U.S. and abroad, when with the encouragement of friends, she recognized her talents and founded Reading in Preschool in New York City.

"I've always known that I was meant to do something unique," says Alexander, who personally specializes in teaching reading to children 3 to 8 years old. "After finally realizing this was my unique gift that I wanted to share with the world." Since its founding in 2011, Reading in Preschool has added several highly skill tutors to its staff.

Though her tutoring schedule is typically full, as her skills and passion are in high demand, Alexander is happy to announce that she has room to take on a few new families this summer. Children already in school can catch up a grade level in this summer reading program, or beginner readers can learn the basics of reading to prepare for going into Kindergarten in the Fall. From early June to the end of August, she is available for private at-home tutoring services.

Yes, you read that right. All Reading in Preschool tutors will come to your home twice a week and work with your child individually at his or her own pace.

The reading curriculum Alexander developed includes teaching children sight words, phonics, decoding skills, and handwriting. However, it's the playful engaging methods that make this reading tutor stand out, as evidenced by this amazing video of children reading.

"I am passionate about bringing confidence to children by teaching them this amazing skill, and absolutely love helping children succeed," says Alexander, making it clear why it's nearly impossible to book her as a private tutor.

Whether you want to help your struggling student gain confidence through success or give your preschooler a head start, Reading in Preschool offers the reading classes you seek. Visit them online or call (917) 723-1159 to secure your spot with Elizabeth Alexander or her tutors this summer.
