The exterior of the roof should be scanned for missing shingles, damaged flashing, or any curling, blistering, buckling, rotting or mold growth. Check for loose material or wear around all vents, pipes, or chimneys, and give the drainage, gutters and downspouts a once over to make sure they’re firmly secured in place.
