We like to acknowledge the community involvement of the members of the Sharrard, McGee & Co., PA team. By bringing attention to the organizations they actively support we can help create awareness and perhaps encourage others to become involved. Lisa Poplin, CPA, Director, is among the founding members of Women in Motion of High Point, a new volunteer-led initiative of the High Point Community Foundation. The initiative was formed to enable women, and men, to combine charitable donations and provide significant grants focused on the critical needs of women, children, and families living in the greater High Point community. Lisa has been involved with many local nonprofit organizations, including the YWCA of High Point where she has served as President, Treasurer, and Secretary and continues to serve on the Finance Committee. She was the first woman named as the High Point Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Advocate in 1997. Lisa has served as Treasurer for Mother Baby Foundation, Friends of the Triad Park Amphitheater, and Animal Rescue and Foster Program, and is a past member of Kiwanis and Triad Women’s Forum. She holds leadership positions with Women in Motion of High Point as the Chair of the Governance and Grants Committees.
