Great Oaks recognizes that the construction industry needs trained, hardworking professionals. Through their Heavy Equipment Operations and Engineering program, you will start on the path to having a rewarding career with jobs that are in high demand.

Through both computer-simulated and hands-on experience, you learn earth-moving equipment skills like digging, sloping, and backfilling. Students are also trained in equipment repair and maintenance, land surveying, blueprint reading, and field layout and measurement. Students graduate with the qualifications necessary for jobs as bulldozer and compactor operators, highway maintenance workers, underground utility operators, heavy equipment sales, and more.

The Heavy Equipment Operations and Engineering program at Great Oaks runs from August to June. Classes are scheduled Monday to Thursday, with afternoons and evenings for adults and M-F daytime classes for high school juniors and seniors.
