Led by the the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council of Chief State School Officers, educators, school administrators, parents, and government institutions throughout the country had a hand in creating the common core program. They’ve worked together to outline a set of standards regarding teaching techniques and educational materials. 

How Does the Common Core Program Help Kids?

Forty-three states currently use the program as a benchmark for educational development. This way, teachers will know the exact areas of study where students need improvement.

How are Standards Determined?
