Just a little background on this story…

About a month ago we here at LaRowe Gerlach Taggart LLP decided to “adopt” a soldier serving in South Korea for a holiday project and started collecting anything we could think of that a soldier away from home might need at Christmas time. Then, two weeks ago we packed it all up and shipped it off, not really knowing what to expect.

This letter arrived by email today.

Dear LaRowe Gerlach Attorneys & Staff,

This is PV2 Montrae Armstrong of the United States Army, and I’m contacting you and your coworkers first of all to let you know that i received all 3 boxes that you sent me, and second of all to say how thankful I am for them. I usually don’t get much mail since I’ve been here but something just told me to go check to see if i had any today and i had these 3 huge boxes. I had no clue where they came from or who they were from so i just brought them to my room and opened them. As i opened the first box and read your letter I instantly just felt loved by all of you for taking your time and patience to get together and gather up all of these things and send them to a random soldier. It shows me that I made a great choice in swearing to serve my country and also showed me that it’s people out there that really care. I’m extremely thankful and blessed to have received these packages from you all and I just can’t thank you enough for all of this stuff. I can’t eat all of this food but i will definitely spread the love between all of my fellow soldiers here with me. Again Thank You So Much, and I hope you all have A Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

PV2 Montrae Armstrong

Needless to say, we are so happy and honored to have played a part in this wonderful young soldier’s holiday, and to share his comments from far away with you. Please let’s all remember those who can’t be home with us over the holidays. It means so much to them!
