Public schools in New York City use the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, or the OLSAT, to judge which students have the aptitude to enter into their school’s Gifted and Talented program. The majority of these students go on to take AP courses and gain admission to the top colleges in the country. Naturally, parents of bright young children do their utmost to ensure their little one is accepted into the Gifted and Talented program of their choice.

The next OLSAT Gifted and Talented Test is scheduled for January 2014. Children can begin studying early and gain a competitive edge by preparing with FasTracKids / Eye Level Learning Center’s summer session of NYC Gifted and Talented Test Prep Courses.

Students can prepare in private one-on-one sessions or take small group courses with other peers. These classes, which take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 9th to August 29th, consist of only 10 students per class to maintain an ideal student to teacher ratio. This allows teachers of the NYC academic enrichment program to work personally with each student and identify their areas of academic weaknesses and strengths.

By preparing in the summer, students not only learn new materials, but also prevent the common "brain drain" associated with not engaging in studies during summer recess. FasTracKids / Eye Level Learning Center’s summer preparation courses also help students to become familiar with the skills tested by the OLSAT, including critical thinking, serial reasoning, spatial visualization, analogical reasoning, and pattern completion. Confidence and familiarity with the OLSAT testing material will help each young student to perform to their maximum capacity when taking the NYC Gifted & Talented test for their public school.

As an innovator in early childhood development programs, FasTracKids / Eye Level Learning Center provides a full enrichment curriculum that allows young students to excel.
