                                              Avoid Summer Learning Loss!

NYS exams are finally over for almost all of our students which means that summer is right around the corner. For many of you, summer means time for vacations, playing in the sun, and great camps for your kids to have something to do through all of those weeks off.

This summer, Eye Level wants to encourage you to keep your students learning throughout the warm months to keep them at the top of their game when it is time to go back to school in August.

Summer learning loss occurs for students when their regular education schedule is disrupted and/or completely suspended for extended periods of time. Children learn best when their instruction is continuous and does not allow for long periods of rests which leads to forgetfulness. We all know the saying, “use it or lose it!” To help your child retain their education and avoid the detrimental effects of long summer breaks, keep your students enrolled in their learning programs at Eye Level.

We will shift from teaching strictly NYS curriculum standards, and focus more on teaching your students learning, critical thinking, and study strategies. These could include techniques for writing appropriately for different applications, a booster class for those that may be lacking in their math skills, and assisting with summer reading.

Over the summer, children enrolled in either our English or Math learning programs will come to one of our learning centers for one hour per week for each of the subjects they are enrolled in. If they are enrolled in both Math and English programs, then they will be spending a total of two hours a week with us learning techniques that they will be able to use throughout their academic career.

If you would like to keep your student sharp over the summer, make sure that they are enrolled at Eye Level. Through our programs that encourage critical thinking, we will help them stay at the head of the class and be ready for their next school year!

Don't waste time, call today to schedule your child's Free 2-Hour Diagnostic Test and schedule them in for a fun & productive summer with Eye-Level!

Eye-Level classes are available for children ages 4-14 years old!
